The Security BankUSA Baccaneers won the Banker’s Cup at this year’s 2008 Dragon Boat Races. If you haven’t attended the dragon boat races you are missing out on a fun filled day for adults and kids.

We had over 30 people and two sets of twins walking in the parade for Security BankUSA.  I’m sure we were the only entry with twins.

The April issue of Outdoor Life listed the Top 200 Towns for Hunters and Anglers.  Bemidji ranked 19 of this list!!  They were also listed one of the three towns in their region outside the Upper Rocky Mountains and excluding any towns in the top 10.

This is what it said about Bemidji:

Legendary walleye and pike fishing on local lakes get the headlines, but this is an overlooked spot for waterfowl, whitetail and bear hunting.  Turkey hunting is improving on nearby state and national forests.

It’s Scramble Time

GOLF CART????

This is something you normally don’t see in front of the bank – a golf cart, but I guess it is opening stag at the  Bemidji Town and Country Club. This person is getting a start on the day or maybe just using a more fuel efficient vehicle. 

Say Hello to Julie…..

Julie is our new part-time person in proof.  Okay – so now you are asking what does the proof department do in the bank?  The proof department is involved in our daily processing of transactions, such as deposits, withdrawals, etc.  Julie is also working with our lockbox product and Security Capture.  Now you are probably asking – what is Security Capture?

Security Capture is our product where businesses can deposit their checks right at their own desk.  They don’t have to spend the time going to the bank and the check is immediately deposited via image into their account.  How slick is that.  If you would like to have more information regarding Security Capture or any other product we may offer at Security BankUSA, please call me at 444-1572.
